YFinally got a few days off in a row...time to fix these areas!

 If you have too many parts, you can send them my way :D

Bill, I'm showing your pics to my wife to let her know that on a scale of 1-10, I'm a mere 2 next to some folks...

Nice collection.

And I thought I was crazy with my herd. Good to know there are crazier people here.

Yikes! I sometimes wonder, "why do I have 4 bikes"?

Mad Honk 08-24-19 06:06 PM

How in Hades do you get anything done in that place? Har Har Har! Mine looks kinda like yours. Only with more parts lying around! Toss in wife's car and I can barely move. Getting things so she can park every night is like a jigsaw puzzle. Sometimes I think I could have forty acres under roof and still not have enough room. congrats on some cleaning you needed done. I was gifted a beautiful 8’ metal topped work bench...it went in and nothing came out!
I’m consolidating the two complete work shop/areas into just one shop/area for bikes and one area for my wood working stuff.
I added two big shelves and two led shop lights.
The lights are super bright more area specific.
Garage is super messy but should start to look more organized soon.

So I understand using frisbees for dork disks.but what about the funnel? Smiles, MH

The benches have been doing double, triple, etc duty that anything can found if you dig deep enough!
There are two pro shop stands that were always busy.
I have picked up some bench mount stands/clamps to utilize more hidden space(s).
One peg board peg board wall of the bike specific tools will let me configure the garage for whatever I’m doing at that particular time.
The other, now bare peg board wall, will allow me to empty at least one or more roll around tool boxes freeing up more floor real estate...

I’ll go back to these two stands.
Kinda hard going back to the portable stands after using these...the portables I’ll bring camping or on vacation.

Cross thread(ed)....I mean posted....I have found myself in possession of a pro double headed Park Tool stand, my other two pro stands are singles.
As long as I am not that far into my shop reconfigurations, I’m definitely am going to work this in!

My first Park double arm stand has been mounted on a plywood base since 1987, FAR easier to move about then the steel plate ones. 3/4" about 3' on edge with two added layers at the center. I do have one, about, 10" steel plate between the ply and the stand's little square base. Andy

My garage has all of the usual "cycling fanatic" stuff: workbench, workstand, tools, bike hooks, etc. The best features I added, though, are the old sofa and footrest, a mini-fridge, and a sound system. Oh, yeah.

About 10 or so years ago I was got a Park double stand with the round steel plate base. Told my wife after struggling it to the basement that it is there for life. No way am I going to attempt to move that plate up the steps!

Yeah. I kept thinking about a plywood base...I already have the base from my single arm stand...I do have quite a bit of wood left from my last two outside bench adventures...hmmm, possibilities...

Well, that’s not gonna fit anywhere...

I built six bikes to take on the Penn. vacation and ended up taking my old standby Fuji...the others are still in the garage...arrrgh! Coming into one of my busy seasons, too!

It really looks a whole lot worse than it really is...
