Whats the best bike tire size when pulling trailer

I'll be pulling a BOB trailer on hard, rolling road for 40 miles, loaded with about 25 lbs I have 700x36s on my bike now. Would a smaller tire be more efficient
Thank You

I had twice the weight in a BOB for several days and had 32C tires on the bike. I would choose bike tires based on the road surface but seldom use a narrower tire unless the frame demands it. Mine worked on regular pavement but I'd want fatter ones for gravel.

It might be more efficient, but you will soon realize there are other factors in play...go with the largest tire that will fit on your bike.
I pulled a bob with a rigid MTB several years ago with 1.75 tires and never regretted having the larger tires...not once.
