Commuting weight... px10
I got this totally unoriginal px10 a while back and have been tinkering with it. I also built some 32 hole velocity a23s up with an old dyno hub and tri color 126 rear hub. Just for the hell of it and because i had another set of 559s I built this up. The fork has no eyelets and the rack is an original blackburn. The bike rides great and i just had to weigh it. This weight includes fenders, rack, cable and padlock, bag and bell.

I love how it turned out!

Dude, you just can't stop, can you?
A PX10E will be my next project, for my son. He loves the Sports I gave him but lives 3 flights up narrow twisty stairs in an old south Brooklyn house and wants something lighter. I have a 71 that has great sentimental value to me languishing in storage in part because its waaaaay too small for me. I'll throw some bin parts on it - the Box o' Crap v8 is heading my way in a month or so - put some North Roads on it and see how he likes it. It's a good sign that he wanted something lighter that quickly. |
