Would you buy used shorts??

I saw some used shorts (lyrca) for pretty cheap on ebay, but I'm wondering how bad is it to buy used shorts which is same as used underwear

KrisA 11-09-05 07:42 AM

Ewwwwww. I know how disgusting my shorts get, wouldn't want to wear anyone elses, even if they had only one ride on them.

dirtbikedude 11-09-05 08:06 AM

Heeeeelllllllllll Nooooooooo!!! Who knows what the person who previously wore them had going on between their legs. You could get them if you want to chance inviting a bunch of tiny new pets into the house. ;)

DBD:beer:

Back2Kill 11-09-05 09:07 AM

BikeInMN 11-09-05 09:17 AM

Depends on who wore them ;)

Seriously - No, No Way Man, No F*ing Way Man

Because there are some things you just can't do, no matter how good a deal you get.

LowCel 11-09-05 09:21 AM

Not a chance. I don't like the idea of wearing someone else's shorts even if they have been washed.

I'm not even all that keen on the idea of having to be fitted for our team clothes this year. They send around a team kit that has been tried on by everyone on the team, the good thing is you know that you are getting the right size. The bad thing is you have no idea if you are going to be getting anything else.

PatrickMcCabe 11-09-05 09:34 AM

Wow, I am not like speechless, but wow..... I would not buy used, no,
no Iwould not. But if you are into that sort of thing, and as long as you
are abicycle enthusiast, then by all means, go ahead...One mans trash
is another mans treasure......ewww...Did I already say I would not?

timmhaan 11-09-05 09:40 AM

buying used lyrca shorts is like having sex with your next of kin. it's generally frowned upon in the civilized world.

Original 6 11-09-05 09:58 AM

I would not, however, any of us who have competed in organized sports has more than likely had to wear over used uniforms. The answer is still no...

pinkrobe 11-09-05 10:26 AM

Used shorts? No. I got some used socks one time, and they were pretty good after I washed the blood out. :)

Namenda 11-09-05 11:13 AM

Not only would I not BUY used shorts, I'd have to be in desperate financial straits (like jonesin' for crack) before I would consider SELLING used shorts. But hey, everybody has different standards...

Jonathan1987 11-09-05 11:24 AM

You might be a redneck if.......... You buy those shorts

Namenda 11-09-05 11:31 AM

Here's your sign... :D

jbonus 11-09-05 12:41 PM

trekkie820 11-09-05 01:22 PM

no. . .just no.

koine2002 11-09-05 03:23 PM

Unless it was from someone I knew...such as myself...not a chance.

mtnbiker66 11-09-05 04:01 PM

Oh come on you bunch of candy butts!!!! I'm wearing used underwear right now,got it at a yard sale about six months ago. As far as the bike shorts,if a roadie had worn them then no. I would be afraid my boys might shrivel up and fall off. I may post a pic of my used undies later.

cooker 11-09-05 04:27 PM

There's really no rational reason not to buy them, clean them properly (strong detergent, multiple washing, dry cleaning, whatever) and wear them. The only reason not to do so, is that it seems distasteful, and makes one squeamish to think of what might have happened in them in the past.

Having said that, I personally wouldn't do it...I know it's not rational, but I would feel icky putting them on.

onelessbike 11-09-05 05:04 PM

what if someone soiled them
