Am I missing some thing here? I thought this was a forum on bicycles, not murder cycles.

Perhaps it is a wee bit off-topic, but last I checked, we are allowed to own vehicles other than bicycles.

If it makes you feel better, imagine he uses it to motorpace his cycling buddies when he's taking a rest day.

"Murder cycle"? Really?

I ride both. If I was on the 'murder cycle' when I was hit, I'd be /vastly/ better off.

members of the LEO community call them organ donor machines

I took an all day motorcycle safety class with members of the local police department's motorcycle unit. So not all LEO's see motorcycles as "organ donor machines". You can kill yourself just as effectively in a car, truck, bicycle - maybe even on a skate board.

I joke with people that I live on two wheels - two bicycles and a motorcycle.

Lovely bike. Motorcycle and bicycle are both vulnerable on the road.

A few weeks before accident on my way to get new front tire. Engine off switch had vibrated closed. At this point I didn’t realize that’s why it shut down suddenly on freeway.

I had begun commuting on bike the 30 miles each way to save gas but only on Thur and Fri to reduce my chances of getting in accident. This was May 2016.

On Friday Oct 14, 2016 lady changed lanes into me. Bike was totaled. I was very lucky and wasn’t catastrophically injured. I was hurt but not as severely as I could have been
Lovely bike!
