Stiffness of sprint frame for 1600w sprinter
So I realize a lot of the real sprinters are going to be putting out 2500+watts
however at 74kgs and putting out 1600w I am wondering for sprinting on outdoor track do I need to worry about getting a frame with a reputation to standing up to stiffness needed for sprinters or will I get away with a more aero cervelo t4 frame I have choices of dolan df3, Fuji elite and Cervélo t4 obviously the t4 is most aero and if I was putting out 2500w I wouldn’t include in options but for my size and power what are people’s thoughts |
The T4 is easily one of the two or three most popular frames among world-class enduros, and was the choice of the Danish National Team while the Argon18 was under development. World-class enduros put out more watts than amateur sprinters, so I think that frame will be fine for you if that's what you want, though some people prefer the handling of sprint-specific frames over enduro frames.

Which one is the sexiest? Buy that one.

There's a lot of people that swear by that DF3 frame, just saying :)

Thanks folks still undecided but options to think about 👍

Angles, fit, and finish are more important than stiffness, especially if you aren't clocking really high torque numbers. I'd focus on finding a frame with great angles that's known to not have any of the common issues like seat posts slipping, track-end issues, etc... Those issues have sidelined frames with world-class stiffness such as the DF4, (early) TK1, Serenity, etc... |
