Need help to identify this bike

Hello, everyone.

Does anyone know anything about this bicycle? The frame is LandShark brand.

I am trying to find some information online but no luck. It has a very special frame and looks very unique overall. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

I am not able to post pics due to the new member policy. I put the image link below.

Looks like a Softride bike to me.

It is exactly as it appears. If you're buying, how much are you willing to pay?

If you're selling, please complete the build by adding brake calipers and cleaning up the drive train. Your selling price will be very market/locale dependent. These are gimmick bikes with only mild collector interest. How much do you have into it so far?

Maybe contact Landshark. They appear to still be making bikes. Land Shark Bicycles | Pro Carbon Bike Frames

I found some similar ones based on Softride you mentioned. Thank you!

It looks like it was a LandShark TT with a soft ride and boring paint. John Slatwa of LS has done some really stunning paint jobs this one is fine and serviceable but I prefer his wild stuff. You might look for a serial number and ask John, I believe he is still rockin' in the free world.

It is a bit of a goofy bike but a neat thing none the less. The 90s was full of all sorts of suspension things for everything from the RockShox Paris Roubaix fork to the Girvin ProFlex to the Softride. Now things are coming back around with full suspension gravel bikes and things like the Redshift shockstop stem and Kinekt Seapost.

Actually, as unaesthetic as these are, they were generally well ridden. Look at this one - it's far from NOS.

Softrides are one of those strange evolutionary off-shoots of bike design in the 1990s. A number of the 'boutique' builders of the era made frames for the Allsop/Softride beam, but that beam made the bike way more expensive than a similar conventional bike, so there never were many of them. They are also finicky to set up, and demand a particular, very smooth riding style. So, they're a pretty 'niche' bike, although they were (and some still are) popular for TRI, which is why you usually see them fitted with aero bars.

Softride bikes have been out of production for ~15 years or so, and that style frame, closer to 20, so the beam parts are hard to come by. c8h that bike is missing the seat clamp, which is very hard to find these days; expect to pay ~$100+ for it, if you can find one.

If you really want a Softride, you're much better off getting one that's complete. That bike is really only good as a parts donor for another Softride.

Watch it, Mister, or I'll use my bike to fling watermelons into your backyard!

That is a Landshark headbadge, but it is in a very odd location. It looks like a softride frame. Maybe repainted at some time and the Landshark headbadge added for some weird reason? Who knows?
