I thinks "depends" is more of a concern for the 65+ crowd. ;) (No offense, I've got plenty of age-related concessions I've already made and I'm not quite 60 yet.)

Hi, and welcome aboard. I used to be 54. That was almost 10 years ago, though.

aRoudy1 06-14-19 02:25 PM

I was 54 once...20 years ago!

fietsbob 06-14-19 02:33 PM

I celebrated my 50th birthday on a pleasant bike tour , when in Scotland, in 1997..

Wow. You all are FUNNY!!!
sarcastic, cynical, senile, out of our minds..... it's one of the perks of the later years since that thing about "golden years" was a bald face lie!:)

Helderberg 06-14-19 04:15 PM

I am 70 and still riding. Welcome aboard youngster. Ride everyday you can for what ever time you can.
Frank.

Not even close! I'm 73, still putting on the miles - 2100+ so far this year.

I'll be 68 this fall, and by no stretch an I the senior rider in here.

Wildwood 06-15-19 11:09 AM

not the oldest.

How bout in your Spin sessions? What's the typical age?
Assuming you're a group rider.

LesG 06-15-19 07:10 PM

Yep, with a couple of exceptions y'all are a bunch of kids. To the OP, in April I celebrated the 16th anniversary of my 54th birthday.

Welcome to a great forum.

My wife just turned 69, and I am three months behind her. I do a lot of fast walking, plus some cycling, weight training, and jogging. She took up ballet 50 years ago, shortly after we met as UCLA freshmen, and she still takes ballet lessons three or four times per week.

I would be interested to know the age distributions in 50+ and 65+.
