Specialized Diverge Riders: Installing a Rear Rack?

I'm riding my road bike less and less. I'll move up to 28mm tires; actually I'll remeasure to see if 31/32mm tires might fit. I already use a suspension stem which does help.

The paved trails are in horrible condition. The roads are in a state of disrepair. There's a lot of highway riding available, but I've never found that appealing.

I think a bike with 35-40mm wide tires might be just about ideal. Comfortable enough to deal with the trashed roads, and wide enough for the easy fire roads I have access to. I've driven to these trails in the past to ride my mountain bike but why not save gas and get a bit of exercise by riding there?

Specialized road geometry just works for me. I think a bike like the diverge would be excellent. I'm very surprised that this bike doesn't have rack bosses. It seems like the ideal candidate for an adventure/bikepacking bike. I just realized I could (possibly, hopefully) use an Ibera rack which mounts to the seat post clamp? If so, that would address probably my only gripe about the bike.

Add an aftermarket suspension seat post and I just might be set!

Anyone diverge riders/owners here with ideas for a rear rack?

Hmm, this could be a quiver bike. (rubs hands together)

Specialized makes a Diverge Seat Clamp W/ Rack Mount, Part # S184700001 in the correct 30.6 mm size. I used mine on a bike tour from Lisbon to Girona last year with no issues.

Oops, sorry for misinformation :innocent: Did not know it was a non-standard size.
