Advice sought on selling
Hello all-I’ve been a longer time member here but for the last many years been mostly off of the forum. I have lots of frames and parts that were intended to be build projects but life and some other issues left me never able to get to them. I’m starting to dust it all off and would like to list and sell it all. My dilemma is pricing as I just don’t know how to price some of those things
some things I can look in the marketplace and find comps. Others not so much. I’m asking for some advice to figure out pricing. I appreciate the help! Alex |

Well, there's a whole other forum for asking about pricing advice:

Thanks that’s perfect! I’ll put my photos over and ask for advice. I appreciate the help!

If you are in the Northern Hemisphere, keep in mind that you are within a few weeks of the period of lowest bike resale value. Bike prices in my 'hood are about 50% lower in November relative to April.
Good vintage stuff is somewhat immune to seasonal pricing, as collectors (horders) generally have storage space, and have a longer term perspective on purchases. |
And if you plan to sell locally (avoiding the hassle of packing and shipping) expect to get less. Convenience has its cost, and its in a lower price. Selling frames locally in my market is a lost cause.

Ebay+early spring = $$$

You can also ante up a whooping $5 for a premium membership and list stuff in the for C&V sales forum it paid for itself for me when I was thinning the inventory
