I don't know about the rest of Massachusetts but four new rotaries have popped up one of my regular cycling routes. The two on rte. 12 in Sterling are quite large, but the two in Fitchburg are crazy small. The one by the center of Fitchburg is so small trucks just roll over it because it's to tight to navigate properly.
Any other areas going thru the rotary craze ?

When I lived in Arizona for 6 years, I always called them rotaries and everyone looked at me like I was missing a few marbles. They call them "roundabouts" out west and most other places. It was pretty hilarious. I agree about the one in Fitchburg just past the boulder in Upper Common near Greek Town. That one is just crazy!
