Is this a '87 Pinarello Veneto frame and what's the value?

Hello, I'm new to the forum and need some help confirming the model and value of a vintage frame I picked up. I believe that its a "Record Blue" 1987 Pinarello Veneto. It seems to match the catalogue pics from that year and has matching specs and details: Columbus Aelle tubing, sloping fork crown, no Pinarello pantos on the seat stays or fork crown and the chainstays aren't chromed.

When I bought the frame it was equipped with Ofmega headset and cranks, Modelo America brakes and Campagnolo Victory downtube shifters and derailleurs. All of those components are noted in the catalogue as being the base groupsets for that year (except for the Modolo brakes).

The frame is 57cm c-c x 56cm c-c and has its fair share of scratches but no dings or dents. Surprisingly most of the decals are still intact, except for the model decal that is supposed to be on the top the toward the front. So, to the questions: Did I get the frame research right? What's the value of this model and year frame? Here are some pics...if I uploaded them correctly. Many thanks!

thanks, good to know I was in the same range when I purchased it. I bought a 56cm Pinarello Treviso frame from @horatio that I've been touching up and will move the parts from the Veneto that to that frame.

are you going to unload the veneto?

Considering it, but I'll probably kick myself.

Looks like a 1989 Veneto.

Looks very similar to a Pinarello that came my way a couple of weeks ago. I have no need or interest in the bike and will put it up for sale next spring. I believe this one is a Pinarello Dolemite...

Would love to find something like that one of these days to build up. I've always wondered how those types of frames road compared to all the Schwinns, Miyatas, Centurions, etc. that we have here.

I just picked up an early 80s Record to build up. My first real bike was a Fuji, my second an 87 Montello (the OPs serial number format will put his in the same time-range - late 80s). There's no comparison between a Pinarello (or Colnago) and lower end steel frames. My third bike was a Litespeed - much lighter than the Montello but just doesnt ride the same. Call it drinking the kool-aid if you want, but once you've tried high-end Italian steel, you'll be hooked.
