Your favourite bike in front of your favourite turntable...😂
Tough call. Too many bikes and too many turntables. Seems a common linked obsession... and cameras too. They are interesting!https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...55ab80b0c.jpeghttps://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...3c6eac1e1.jpeg

Take away the direct drive. :)

Two direct drive and one chain drive...😂
|
I’ll get a pic next time I have my bike in SF (Market and Powell).

Somebody's got to have one of those nice, polished brass Empire Troubadour turntables, yes?
|
Just not a fan of vinyl. I have a metric ****-ton of it. I'm rolling with a Technics SL-M2 turntable- and any of the TT pres in either of my 3 receivers... meh. I'd rather use CD or MP3/iTunes.
I'm far too lazy to bring the bike downstairs, but you get the idea... https://live.staticflickr.com/7817/4...9c4c3b7d_o.jpg Mar2019 by Dave The Golden Boy, on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/4734/3...1688f49a_o.jpg IMG_2377 by Dave The Golden Boy, on Flickr |

Not the best, but favourite...
Hi, I'll scare up a few photos but it depends on my mood. My daily scoot is a beat Kuwahara Cascade (DX equipped) mountain bike. I can just get on it and ride. Hmmm., favourite tt? Depends on my mood. Oldest is an old Sugden BD1 "kit" turntable from the 1960's. Fave complete table ? Heybrook TT2/Alphason arm combo, but my old Oracle Alex MkII /SME 309 magnesium is no slouch.

Some of my bicycles and some of my stereo equipment which includes an old Pioneer SX reciver. The Bose speakers were completely re-engineered with new speakers, moved the tube to the rear, built new cross overs, changed the impedance and added a new cross over to my Radio Shack Minimus while at it.
https://i.postimg.cc/fWHkmycK/IMG-5173.jpg My new Orbit, love this thing, it is wonderful, solid wood, made in the USA: https://i.postimg.cc/Qxk4fLM0/IMG-5171.jpg And my parents Zenith, no longer functional long ago, it now supports a (kinda) tube amp, a CD player and has a deck for a turntable not yet acquired. I built completely new speakers into the cabinet with new cross overs to a tweeter to augment the dual cone full range drivers. It never sounded this good in the day. There is a front door, not yet installed here and the speaker shutters close up and the top lifts for access to the yet to be ordered #2 Orbit, pretty cool https://i.postimg.cc/FHTPQj3S/IMG-5169.jpg Well, I am a fan of vinyl and I never quit buying vinyl and have all of mine, my sisters and brothers and while some is well used, some is mint and original. Nothing sounds as real or as authentic to the era as vinyl except being there. |
Had to drag the bike up to the "war room"...
The TT is a 1960 Fairchild 412. Belt drive with a Micro Seiki MA-505 tonearm. You know the bike. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...067975f9_k.jpg |
When this morphs to cameras call me.

Not all Radio Shack turntables are crap either. The Realistic/ELAC-Miracord, the LAB 300, LAB 400, LAB 420, and LAB 500 are fine by any standard (I am playing a LAB 300 with Realistic-Shure stock cartridge through Large Advents, driven right now with a McIntosh MA 6100 integrated amplifier). I have serviced and overhauled several LAB 300 turntables for customers, I liked this one so much I acquired the first nice one I could get (Another repair customer gave me one when their customer returned it, they loved the fact I was able to get it running again like new)

Bob jackson world tourist. Pioneer pl115d. Th preamp is a little tc 754 with an adcom 535 power amp. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...d1b3faf29f.jpg Just picked it up for 10.00! Needed a belt and stylus for the included shure m95. |
My audio gear is about the same vintage as my bikes. Carver CT-7, M1.0t, B&O RX-2, KEF Reference 104/2, all circa 86-90.

I'm not all that capable with posting photos. Think LP12 (Valhalla, Cirkus, current through 1990), rosewood base, dustcover, Naim ARO, Linn Karma, with a 1973 patinaed blue MKM in front of it. I guess the MKM is current to mid-80s, since I went to 7-speed SIS shifting last month.
