Doing my best to Social Distance myself !

A tad over three hour out in my backyard playground and my friend Roger is the only other rider I see. Even with the lake and campground area getting more use right now. Most people aren't going more than a mile away from thoses areas. My ride the day before out here I saw three people out fishing a stream but I was no closer than 800 yard too them. So my backyard is still empty, just the way I like it.

Your chain is shiny, you must clean it regularly?

I have been using my mountain bike on road for shopping and other errands and some solo recreation/exercise, but it looks like I won't be doing any offroading for awhile, with 5" of rain for the week, culminating in 2" today, and many hiking/biking trails officially closed by the nanny state.

was reading about some trails near me & 1 rider reviewed the area as draining well after rain. probably due to the sandy soil. but yeah when I venture out it's a good idea to have alternate plans in case parking is closed. ZIPP2001 is fortunate to have opens trails & not needing to drive to them. I have some near me but they are limited & I get bored easily

I landed in the ER last week with what looks to have been a nasty UTI. Chills, fever, back pain ... pretty sucky. The LAST place I wanted to be was the ER, but I had a video consult with a doc and they insisted.

Kinda like Armageddon in there, but they had procedures in place to try to minimize everyone's exposure. I felt too crappy to be all that scared. lol

Even with antibiotics, the fevers continued to come and go until Sunday of this week. So I got a good dose of COVID-like suffering with no promise of immunity at the end of the tunnel. Oh well.

Beautiful out today, though. Getting fed up with some of the internet shaming of people just trying to get out side and ride alone, so I think I might do a serious ride this weekend.

got to this thread late. I hope by now you are on the mend. It has been great cycling with far less traffic up here in VC but avoiding the multi use paths and have a self imposed 10 meter rule. My doctor’s friend is a cardiologist and said aerobic exercise is best for staying healthy and building immune system, sounds good to me. They opened up our county parks for hiking and cycling but the parking remains closed. The county thinks that they can limit the amount of visitors that way. I have seen that all it does is flood the surrounding neighborhoods with parked cars. Distancing on a bike is a much different equation than walking, oh well I sent a few emails telling them I think it is a mistake. Folks can walk the neighborhood and cycle on bike lanes roads for now without so much risk. Being this close to L. A. , I think we are going to be inundated with visitors. Time will tell , I hope i am wrong.
