Do you think you will get a good bike from a company that sells bulk peanut butter pretzels, 20 packs of undies, and a 3 pack of massive containers of garlic powder?

Buy a bike from a bike shop, not only do you get a already built bike but you get a bike that is going to be tuned and ready to ride and will come with warranties, support and components that are less likely to crap out in a matter of days, weeks or months. Plus you get people who know about bikes and not just they are on aisle 3 next to the oil barrels of cheezy poofs and industrial size pert plus.

Nothing against Costco those bulk PB pretzels are great and you can find all sorts of great stuff in bulk but certain speciality items that require an expert to tune and maintain them are not good buys. They aren't always selling top quality they are selling big bargains and sometimes that can be excellent for somethings.

I am assuming you had meant to quote me and didn't?

Anywho yes my answer would be no. But do you think you would get a good bike from Costco?

AFAIK, they don't ship stuff to your door you have to go pick it up.

I wouldn't buy it unless you want to get to know bike shop mechanics on a first name basis. If you can work on it yourself and just buying to see if cycling will be your thing, maybe.

Well, this thread attracted some unwanted misogyny. I don't see any reason for it to be open.
