Any differnence in performance between 144 BCD vs. 130 BCD cranksets?

??

you can get smaller rings for 130.

1/8", unramped, 'track' rings are more common in 144 and 151 bcd, because more pista specific cranksets come in those sizes. the same tooth count will be slightly stiffer in a 144bcd ring owing to the larger crank spider, also.

144 cranks are specially made for the track, so they may be a little stiffer. But you would never notice the difference unless you're wearing super stiff clipless shoes and sprinting all the time. (anyone who tells you they can feel crank flex while riding in their vans is full of crap)

Other than that, chainring availability. If you like larger rings(48-51), go with 144. If you like smaller, your best bet is 130. Also, Salsa makes good SS/track 1/8" rings for 130bcd in all sizes.

salsa does the same in 144. but yeah, cheap/free/traded rings are easier to find in 130, i think one big thing is finding really good track cranks in 130, though, since 144 is a track standard.

For the record, some frames don't have enough chainstay clearance for 144 mm bcd.

As for riding performance, no difference.

theres nothing wrong with 110 bcd too, especially for lower tooth counts and 3/32 chain.

I have a 110 on one bike and a 130 on another.

130 offers a lot of chainring choices.

So does 110.

I beg to differ.
