Favorite Prepackaged Snack Bar - 2019??
 

So this question fits firmly under the "first world problem" category but I'm wondering what snack bars folks are eating during your rides?

Last year I was hooked on R.E.D.D . bars, but I've tired of them and I'm trying RXBars and Bobo bars this season...but the jury's still out. I may go back to my old standard, ProBar Meals.

What new and tasty -prepackaged - snack bars are you all riding with this year?

PayDay bars. Peanuts, Sugar, Fat and cheap.

I stick with Cliff Bars. Surprisingly easy to find when I am touring in unfamiliar places. Biggest problem can sometimes be finding acceptable flavors. I don't like chocolate.

Query: What's the over/under on how many posts it will take before the "You suckers are wasting your money on those ripoffs. I make my own for millions of dollars less." post?

Cliff Bars Nuts & Seeds is my new favourite, I buy several boxes when they are on sale. Great company, too.

Cliff bars are the go to easy to carry never melt like some bars when it's hot and has even came in usefull as a boot for a hole in the tire once the wrapper is much better than a dollar bill

anything thats cheap, most protein least cals least sugars most potassium.

Still haven't found one to meet all the requirements.

Nature's Bakery fig bars from Costco. So much better than Fig Newtons, easy to open package, not expensive, taste great on the bike without drying out your mouth.

Clif Blueberry Crisp. My absolute favorite.

I'm trying to avoid individually packaged consumer feed these days.

A banana or some cookies is fine for my needs, but I haven't actually eaten on a ride all year.

Just picked up a couple the other day.

Lenny and Larry's Complete Cookie. 400 calorie / 16g protein / 64g carb cookie that doesn't taste like cardboard. I usually cut one in half for a typical ride, a full one for a long day. They sell 'em at Trader Joe's for $1.69 each, so not very expensive. The choco-mint flavor is my favorite.

Nut butter filled Clif Bars are a close second.

Lenny and Larry's Cookies - 400 calories and $1 each @ Grocery Outlet. The snickerdoodle flavour is terrible, avoid it.

Ok, seriously, I buy the Clif bars when they go on sale and keep a stack. Which reminds me, I'm running low!

Well timed thread, always looking for ideas.

So far it's been cliff bars to the extent I can get them down switching when I no longer can to twizzlers picked up along the way.

Fig Newtons.

Not too crazy about all the soy in Clif Bars.

Prefer the Nature's Bakery Blueberry Fig Bars easy energy and they are a bargain.

Picky Bars are expensive but a special treat.

Thanks, folks! I reached my saturation level with Clif Bars 2010-ish and Lara bars the around the same time.......but it sounds like they've expanded their lineup. Might have to check them out again.

--And since I went through a phase of making my own snacks years ago, I am now a multi-millionaire (from the money I saved) and can afford to purchase prepackaged fare.:lol:

Clif bars and the Costco fig bars. I also like the Clif gel packs.

My favourite are Nakd bars, they taste great, are very cheap and have good healthy ingredients, my next favourite are Lara bars and lastly Cliff bars.

I was given some RBars https://rbarenergy.com/ at an event recently. One flavor was much tastier than the others (can't remember) but all were tolerable.

CAT7 YOU ROCK!!.....I got ahold of some Picky Bars while mountain biking in Virginia a few years ago and they were great!.... but I threw out the wrappers and could not, for love nor money, remember the name of the company. Your post was enough to trigger that one little neuron in the back of my feeble brain. Cheers!
