Should I get Fox 38?

I am a 150 pound rider with gear. I race enduro on my Pivot Firebird 29. I have a fox 36 with a grip 2 damper. I can get a 38 for 800 bucks. Would the 38 help improve my enduro times?

I think you’d find more involved answers on MTBR. Half the people here think you don’t need suspension

Short answer: No.

Long Answer: Nope

Unless you're carrying that $800 in change in your pocket when you're racing.
