Phoenix CL - "Used bikes - Schwinn, Murray, Ross great condition - $20"
from Phoenix CL - "used bikes - schwinn..."
"Men's, women's and children's bicycles. $20-$75 Schwinn, Huffy, Ross, KHS, Roadmaster bikes from 70's, 80's and current. Mostly 70's era Bike Boom bikes (Schwinns, Huffy, Murray) including Varsity and cruisers. 27" and 26" bikes. All have been cleaned and most have new tires and/or saddles. Great inexpensive bikes. Easily converted to fixed gear or single speed. " probably only one $20 bike in the bunch, but there may be something in there for parts or as a project bike. http://images.craigslist.org/1f213c1...5f2d2915ef.jpg http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/bik/939186640.html |

Bought a pair of rough shape Worksman trikes yesterday. They have massive wheels, huge spokes, drum brakes in front and coaster brake in the rear. Weight weenies need not look as they weigh about as much as 2 Schwinn Varsities apiece. They feature tool boxes on the back and one is a three speed.
The place where I bought them have a few more and they are priced at either $25 or $50. I'm watching for one of those for someone who needs one on the job to haul tools around in a huge building north of Milwaukee. I think shipping costs from Ohio would negate that $25-$50 price without factoring in the tuneup/overhaul costs. |

Sort of concealed in this ad is a Raleigh rod-brake (presumably) bicycle. I did email and he says it's a women's frame bike, which ended my interest. I haven't seen pictures or anything, though.

if anyone ever comes accross a 66-70cm frame with track dropouts i would be much obliged, (i almost bought the beautiful british gameson path bike on ebay recently but it was too small at 64cm to be worth it). I know these would be super rare, but its worth a try.
