In Calgary Alberta Canada.... $1.14 CDN / liter! = about $3.00 US / Gallon

Gives me more of a reason to commute on my bike! (Not that I needed a reason)

People freaked out on Wed. this week and sucked almost all the stations dry.

Depends on where you are in the Chicago area. Near where I work, it's $3.31. Nearer the city (where The Mayor Daley imposes his great taxes), it's closer to $3.60 a gallon. And now, the geniuses that own the stations are "CLAIMING" that they are out of the cheaper grades of gasoline, and have only the premium grade for sale. That one should catch on quickly. Then there will be drive-offs and arguments and crime.....I just love America's dependence on oil.

I also heard that Chicago has some of the highest prices in the country, which station owners are blaming on the effects of the hurricane, and the fact that they aren't getting as much fuel from that area any longer. The big hole in that lie is that 75% of Chicago's fuel is brought in from Canada.

I got gas 2 nights ago for $2.79 Last night it was $3.19 I wouldn't have had to buy gas if I hadn't driven 290 miles to go to a 64 mile bike ride. :D

I love to commuting goodness.

Ben Cousins 09-02-05 06:44 AM

The equivalent of $6.19 a gallon.

Not that I own, or have any need for a car.

maurycy 09-02-05 06:46 AM

Yesterday gas price was $2.99 and today is $3.19 here in Linden, NJ.

lotek 09-02-05 06:47 AM

I haven't checked since two days ago, but I paid $2.97/gallon.

Doggus 09-02-05 06:48 AM

I'm seriously considering a scooter or small cc motorcycle purchase (used). I did the math last night...with gas prices at $3.00 a motorcycle that gets 45 mpg will pay for itself in less than 2 years compared to driving my Nissan Maxima. Will gas stay at these levels for that long? Some reports are saying they will hover at $3.50 for the next 4-6 months.

sandy_pangle 09-02-05 06:50 AM

$3.40 in north Atlanta

KirkeIsWaiting 09-02-05 06:50 AM

The new car came with a full tank of gas!
I use Ultra 94 in the all the vehicles, it was was $3.48 yesterday.
I'll continue to ride the bikes....

uxrider 09-02-05 06:52 AM

Wed. this week gas was .98 liter, Thur. morning it was up to 1.33 in the Toronto market. Pisses me off because you know if gas goes up at the refinery, it must take several weeks for the more expensive gas to make its way to the pumps. The stuff in the tanks at the station was purchased at the cheaper price.
Gouging, plain and simple.

pseudobrit 09-02-05 06:58 AM

3.20ish here. A few gas stations are running out of numbers for their signs. Number "3," specifically. I'm filling up with biodiesel this weekend.

I really feel for them. Must be a real hardship having to order those new numbers so they can gouge their customers. There was a story in the news here when the prices all got over $2 a gal and the gas station owners were all crying about how they had to buy new numbers. Oh shut the F up already is how I feel about that.

oboeguy 09-02-05 07:07 AM

No clue, don't have a car, don't drive very often. I'll find out this weekend though (driving upstate).

ETQC 09-02-05 07:10 AM

skinnyone 09-02-05 07:13 AM

lokerola 09-02-05 07:14 AM

RDhrdNDPUTupWET 09-02-05 07:18 AM

$2.95 this morning on the way to work. Could be worse I supppose. Kirke...what are you driving that would require you to use 94 octane??
