unwanted spy ware or what ever

Is the owner of this forum doing anything to get rid of the program rs.js that seems to ride in and present itself? I only get it when I enter this forum.

Just curious.... what does "ride in and present itself" actually mean? Why not just remove the program if it's running on your computer... or let your anti-virus delete or disable it if your computer has become infected. If it is a java script run on the Site here... you may be able to disable that in settings. Not sure what your problem is actually.

what does it do? You can always disable javascript in your browser, might not be a bad idea

These "java" update things are driven by malicious ads that get slipped into the adstream. It's an internet wide problem that exploits a java vulnerability. Disable Java in your browsers for your safety. Most of even the malicious ones are mainly PUP(Potentially Unwanted Programming, bundled into the software), but there are some real nasties out there as well that use the same delivery method, embedded in a java worm.

This issue is outside of our control except in a reactive response by finding out which ad it is an blocking that invisible ad and it's like playing Whack-a-Mole at level 1,000,000,000,000! The best thing of users that you can do to help us as we patternn analyze is to get us as much info as you can, like mabe random;y jot notes of a screenshot from time to time that shows the ads and if that prompt pops up, we bhave a started list of high risk ads to investigate.

Thanks all for your help in advance for keeping the garbage ot of or living room!

His box is respponding to a java command that's buried in an ad script. Not everyone knows even to disable this, much less how.
