Fuji Marlboro frames at Nashbar

Now here's something you don't see every day. Nashbar has frames for the Fuji Marlboro folding mtb on sale for $99! Frame size is 17 inches (or 43cm) and according to the description, some of them are a little scratched:

Since a Marlboro folder can usually be had on craigslist for less than $100 this isn't much of a deal, just thought I'd relay the info.

thats funny.

i remember in the mid-late nineties when marlboro did this promotion. my uni roommate smoked and he collected the "marlboro miles" cards that came with the ciggie packs. i recall thinking, "who in their right mind would want a bicycle with cigarette logos on it??"

that being said, it is a 4130 cro-mo frame. blasted and powder-coated it could be quite nice.. but, yes, better to get a complete bike from c-list for the same price or less...

Actually, that's not bad. The original bikes had pretty meh specs;to make one really nice you'd have to strip it to the frame and totally rebuild it.

I've got almost everything to build up a rigid MTB,if they had these in my size I'd be tempted to pick one up. Since it folds I'd at least be able to store it.

I've seen drop bar & STI conversions of this frame. Could be an interesting deal if you wanted a folding bike in that configuration.

I have one of the original bikes, and while the components are definitely low-end, it's not a bad bike for what it is. Easily one of the most decent folders around at a low price point.

Oh, and by the way, my Fuji doesn't have any of the Marlboro logos on it. Whether they were stripped or never came with any is unclear.

I wish they had the 21" size. I believe this thing had these two different sizes: 17 or 21.

Now this makes that $2500 epay seller a little bit over priced. :)

Love those conversions, smallwheeler. The second one is particularly elegant for a fixie/SS, I'm assuming.
