Show us your Colnago Super, Mexico, Arabesque, Master...

This suggestion came down in another thread recently. Nobody picked up on it. So, without further ado, I'll start.

1974 Molteni Super (restored):

Let's see some more of Ernesto's eye candy :)

I'll play because I have just finished building my mid 80's Mexico. (Not period correct I know, but I put on campy stuff that I thought fitted this bike well, mostly chorus but with some later and earlier touches )

From the airbrush era, Master Light, which doesn't get ridden nearly as much as it should...

1976 Super built as an "Eddy tribute" bike, not a restoration of a true model:

And a 2009 Extreme C, which to me is the modern CF equivilent of the Super:

Apologies. The brakes have since been changed to silver Record differentials (not the skeleton), and the seatpost to a nice Campagnolo steel Centaur from 2003.

My 1993 "Wordperfect" Elegant.

Garage dust, from sitting in a garage for the last five years.

The bike, not me. :)

Here's my first Colnago, an '89 Spiral Conic SLX. I had it built up with Record 9, when I picked up my pre-B Stay C40, I set up the Spiral Conic as a fixxie.

Here's the C40:

Here's the Crystal I built for racing but gave to my teenage son when he outgrew a lesser bike. I'm using a blue Dream for racing and as my bike that gets shipped for riding "elsewhere".

Here's a recent addition to the stable, a mid-90s steel cyclocross bike. I haven't been able to learn much about this bike...Colnago Italy confirmed they built some, but that was about it. I've built it up with Record 1x10. I am also building up Dream CX with Record 2x10, needs a chain and cables and it will be done. Pics to follow.

Here's the C50, the Alpha dog of the collection.

Wonder what's next? (Oh right, the Raleigh Team Pro!)

Otis, how do you know that your bike is '76? I have gone over the "ballpark" dating guidelines on the CR list but I thought the 75,76 bikes were the same until the shorter rear dropouts appeared.

1983 superissimo, columbus SL. Quick release saronni red paint. Going campy 10 speed with 1400g wheels over the winter. It should be interesting to see how people react to the colnago in group rides :thumb:

I believe Chuck Schmidt's well-known Super dating schema shows '76 as the first year for "Colnago" along with the club in the fork crown. (It also says '76 was first year for the shorter dropouts.) I always consider there to be overlap with model years, as I don't believe the changes happened in a chronologically tidy manner. But I would tend to go with '76 for a bike with "Colnago" in the crown. In any case, the info Chuck compiled does show differences between '75 and '76 Supers.

Yes, the engraving, I didn't notice it in the photo but do now. I can't tell if these are the shorter dropouts.

I'm afraid to ask what all that gobbledygook on the door is...

A long version of the N+1 theorem?

It's part of my abstract algebra homework... I was proving a certain property of quotient groups. Fun stuff!

General proof of the N+1 theorem is much harder to write down... either you get it, or you don't! (my mother doesn't :p )

Beautiful bikes in this thread, by the way!
