Expect unseasonably warm (HOT!!) temperatures in Augusta GA for the IRONMAN.
Wednesday and Thursday temperatures were 97F and today (Fri) and for this weekend's IRONMAN, the high temps are expected in at least the 94F range.
The 56 mile bike course through the "land that time forgot" through South Augusta to almost Hephzibah and back to downtown will be muggy (seriously Humid) as it gets farther into the land that time forgot. The WJBF tv 6 weatherman said that Augusta's average high during Sept 2019 has been an unseasonably warm 94F, which has been just higher than the average of June 2019 and May 2019 which were in the low 90's. NO RAIN IS EXPECTED. There is a 30% on Friday.
Andy Jordan's Bicycles is the closest to downtown. Outspokin is within 3 miles, on Walton Way between the Partridge Inn and 15th Street.
Expect sunshine and unseasonably warm, more like Summer than late September weather for Augusta.
