This time of year brings out an additional plus for trikes.

This time of year brings to the fore another great plus for trikes. Wet leaves on the bike path can take down a two wheeled bike as quickly as black ice or gravel. With a trike all that might happen is you get a little side ways.

Well, a couple years back a trike rider slid off a cliff when he hit some tree debris. (Tater TOT ride... I can't remember the name of the rider.) I don't think a bike would have faired better but you still need to be aware of your surroundings.

I can't say that I have a problem with wet leaves on my bike, generally because I look out for treacherous conditions. You are right that wet leaves are a less significant hazard on a trike, but I find that the leaves affect traction going up some hills on my ICE Sprint.

Anyway, any time of year brings great plusses for trikes.

I wonder how a trike would handle this wet road?
