Ate a good high protein lunch today. Went and did a 12 mile ride this afternoon. Intended to do 16 but ran out of daylight. Took along something to eat just in case but didn't need it. Felt fantastic throughout.

Thanks!
Didn't think I'd need anything but was not going to take the chance. Still watching what I take in carefully. Dropped another 3 pounds in the past 2 weeks. |
I've got one of these top tube bags that sits behind the stem. When I'm doing rides long enough to possibly require more external energy sources I make sure I've got something in there, like an energy bar, a goo packet, or whatever. For most of my rides, if I bring any calories it's usually just gatorade powder mixed into one of my water bottles. From time to time the energy bar or goo or whatever will get used on a very long, hard group ride, and I'll have to make sure to put something back in there before my next very long ride. When I do my next century ride I'll have a few things in there. It's a good accessory to have.

Thanks for the info!
I need to get one of those. |
