Given your multitude of posts related to your lower body, it's clearly an area of exceptional interest for you. I suggest you go full Brazilian. You know that's what you want. No pics, please:twitchy: https://www.bikeforums.net/training-nutrition/1200571-shaving-crotch-everything.html

I gave up on shaving products marketed to women a looooong time ago. They're simply not as good (and sometimes not as cheap). Apparently they have to take measures to make sure our delicate delicate pink lady-skin isn't damaged by the big mean shavers, which means "good luck getting a close shave." (It's possible that has changed in the years since, but I don't feel the need to find out. Also I don't like pink.)
(Why we're expected to be completely hairless over our entire bodies but given inferior tools with which to accomplish that, I don't know.) |
Epilator. Still gotta get a trimmer to knock down the overgrowth but epilators work wonders for long term hair management. Warning though, it's painful at first. Just do little sections at a time and use plenty of moisturizing lotion afterwards. Might take a couple times to get all the thick hair follicles out but once you do, it'll just be the baby fine hair that grows back and an epilator cleans that up fast and painless.

Before my vasectomy, I gave the ol satchel the aerodynamic treatment.
Took me quite a while in the tub of a hotel room, since I was traveling for work. I wouldn't have been able to ride with all them pricklies, fortunately (?) my balls hurt bad enough that I had time to regrow. I wouldn't suggest it for riding or ladies or really anything. For legs, a once over every 4 weeks with an electric clippers is enough. Remember, smoothness helps road rash cleaning and infection. It doesn't have any effect on aerodynamics. You don't have to be polished. |
I don’t have any tiny bits, but I save my four blade heads when they are no longer good on my Chuck Norris beard and later use them on my legs, etc.

You can save 60-90 seconds over 25 miles which is more than a $2000 set of carbon fiber aero wheels when you're starting with contemporary 25-30mm+ deep designs not the venerable Mavic Open Pro which was slow 20 years ago. |

Shaved legs have a huge effect on aerodynamics with 80% of drag coming from the meat bag atop the bicycle.

I also (erroneously) figured hair could create a buffer of turbulent air, possibly increasing speed (golf balls, dimples, rough texture on a shark). Get me some wax! |
Wait for cold weather, then ride with goose bumps. Works for golf balls, it should work for bicyclists, right?

Shave the front leave it on the back. Acts as a sail.

Norelco. I still have and occasionally use an old school cordless rotary floating head Norelco with hedge trimmer on the flip side. Works fine. Remington microscreen were good too but doesn't reach nooks and crannies quiet as easily as the Norelco.
No nicks, no cuts, no razor burn, no ingrown hairs. When I had to shave my face daily (partly to ensure proper respirator fit) I switched between razors and electric shavers. I'd never go back to razors. Besides taking longer they're less forgiving of skin imperfections. My jaw has scars from sports injuries and even the best razor will nick the scar tissue and I'll waste time stopping the bleeding. Never a problem with good electric shavers. |

Men shaving their legs is something that never ever crossed my mind even in the realm of possibility. I absolutely hate shaving and I only ever do it before job interviews. I couldn't do it, I'd feel really emasculated if I did. I can't seem to think of it as any other way than as a punishment but I'm pretty ignorant. :o

I'm genuinely surprised.

Get me some wax! Golf ball dimples aren't out of the question - I have a couple of allegedly wind tunnel tested skin fit aero jerseys with dimpled shoulder/arm fabric. They're faster than regular race cut jerseys, although I couldn't say what fraction of the gains come from fabric versus the painted on fit. Maybe this should be merged with OP's Riding Nekkid thread. https://www.bikeforums.net/general-c...hday-suit.html
