c. 1973 Cinelli Speciale Corsa 60cm
Here's a classic for ya.
I took possession of this back in the fall via a family friend. I quickly realized it was too small for me and offered it to multiple friends hoping to keep it nearby, but that hasn't worked out, so now I'm offering it here. If circumstances were different, I'd be inclined to keep it, but I expect it will find a good home. I've done a complete overhaul of the bike; it has been stripped to the frame, all bearings have been overhauled, stem and seat post greased, new cables and housing installed, replacement brake hoods, fresh bar tape and toe straps, and the original hubs have been laced to NOS Mavic GP4 tubular rims with double butted Sapim Race spokes. The tires are 700 x 25-28 Vittoria Corsa Control Graphene 2.0 tubulars with latex inner tubes adhered to the rims with Tufo tubular tape. The freewheel is a 13-24 Suntour Winner 5-speed. I have left the original brake pads in place but sanded them to expose fresh rubber. It wouldn't hurt for the new owner to replace them before riding for extra piece of mind. The overall condition of the bike is ridden and well-loved. Not babied, but not abused. I'm told the original owner was an Alaskan bush pilot who liked going fast. All chrome appears to be in good condition. The paint has small chips and wear throughout, but nothing egregious. All decals are in good condition save the "Made in Italy" on the head tube. $2000 + shipping (Contiguous 48). Nice. I like 'em when you can tell they got ridden. Wall hangers make me nervous like using the good china.

Just curious, did this come to you by way of Chicago?
|
Beauty!! Just a bit too small for me . Could I make it work ? Heck yea. Can I afford it ? No. GLWS , someone willl get a true "grail" bike, Joe
|
My size, but I am picking up something else to pedal this weekend.

Lovely (I could even overlook the black rims) and exactly my size, down to the bar width. Alas, I would have to store it in the back yard -- out of space.

It probably wouldn't even be too long of a ride. I'm on the border of Clinton Hill and Bed-Stuy.

Another weekend bump

Beautiful bike.
|
I'm posting the bike on FB Marketplace and Craigslist today, but I would love for it to go to a forum member.

Friday bump for a beaut.

I should just divorce the wife of 37 years and add it to the collection. A perfect fit, been moving more toward '70s frames anyway.

I'm just a rider. It would get signs of use under my buttocks. This is collector stuff.
Besides are those 1980s GP4s? |
