Looking for a short bike Tour in the S.E.

I'm looking for a 2-3 day easy tour for my wife and I to do between Thanksgiving and mid-January. We both average about 13-14 mph although I'm the cyclist she is "along for the ride".

Wondering if there is anything fairly flat that we can do over a long weekend in the Southeast?

Thanks.

How about the Silver Comet Trail/Chief Ladiga Trail...it's 100 miles, all paved rails to trails. Runs from West of Atlanta to Anniston Alabama. You could go half way in one day, continue on the end and then come back. I rode it this spring but did back to back 100 milers.

I've never done it, but friends have and they loved it.

The southern end of the Natchez Trace could be good. That time of year the weather can be pretty iffy though. If a cold front comes through, temps can drop to sub freezing. And post frontal wind as well. If you do it, have a back-up plan.
