It's like an over styled car, someone tried to get all creative and missed the mark entirely. In general that's my hangup with the Leaders, they just look like form over function and the form isn't particularly original or attractive.

What else can I say? Haters are gonna hate. I don't care LOLOLOLHAHAHAHA. FYI all exotic cars let alone bicycles that cost $$$$$ are ALL over styled from a designers stand point. Plus you don't know how many compliments I got for it the other day just riding around. You won't know until you take the dive and get one for yourself.

So you swap out the fork too between the configurations? I love how you're in both pictures. :)

xavier853 02-10-11 05:25 PM

interesting setup on the brake for the summer build

MysticRats 02-10-11 05:32 PM

Happy, my Summer Fork cant take a 32c Tire.
Xavier, Thats a Aero brake usually found in TT bikes, theyre meant to be rearfork mounted.

^ I really dig your bike man!

91MF 02-10-11 05:51 PM

@mysticrats - who makes that brake?

evilcryalotmore 02-10-11 06:05 PM

I love how he is drinking in both shots thats awesome. I like the fact that winter calls for a new fork.

calv 02-10-11 06:06 PM

Very cool!

Lilcphoto 02-10-11 10:22 PM

Today was not a good day for me. My dogs birthday, fiancee's annual "exam", dinner with grandma... I did get the opportunity to walk up to the bike shop to buy some spacers but they were all out of the ones I wanted! So another day without photos of the build, but I did get the brake lever and grips in, I have to say I LOVE the PDW grips, they feel soo nice!

OMG I have been trying to find out what those brakes were for so long! I saw one on a bike over the summer and wanted it so bad! Can you use any fork? Can you mount them on the front of the fork, the one I saw was like that?

They do have some sexy grips... I cant wait to see your pics, you keep teasing us! I actually went out on my Leader today, I couldnt stand it anymore so I put the "other" parts back on. God I missed riding that bike... I also learned that I can fit a 38c schawlbe marathon in the rear!!! Makes me think about racing cross this year on it! a light bike would be so nice.

adriano 02-11-11 07:48 AM

i have the stiffer oval concepts version of those for sale. theyre still not as strong as dual pivots though.

adriano 02-11-11 10:36 AM

did they ever release the 2011 725 geometry? it looks nice, but its hard to get excited without it.

Scrodzilla 02-11-11 10:50 AM

Angles are the same as the V2, it just has slightly shorter stays to bring the back wheel in closer to the seat tube.

adriano 02-11-11 11:10 AM

do you have the chart for that?

I'm not really a fan of the Leader bikes, but honestly, they are still prettier than 99% of the bikes I see on the street everyday, so hating on them is kind of stupid imo. ;)

adriano 02-11-11 11:55 AM

the 725 is bullocks to me until proven otherwise!

adriano 02-11-11 11:56 AM

take that, filter.

calv 02-11-11 11:58 AM

I just lol'd so hard to those two charts
