Best jersey and/or shorts

What's your best jersey, shorts or bibs you have worn?

I have a Castelli Perfecto short sleeves.....It's so comfortable

Shorts/bibs I'm still trying...
Altura night shorts are ok so far

Define "best".

Per my definition, this is my favorite pair of bibs-

And this is my favorite jersey-

Haven't tried any of the fancypants italian stuff, but these are as comfortable as any cycling clothing needs to be for me. Plus the brand owner is a friend :)

AFAIK, Assos is widely considered to be the best. As I can't afford it, I'll stick with my Pearl Izumi pieces at reasonable prices.

Pretty happy with this year's Castelli Team jersey and Team bibs. They fit well and are a nice medium weight. Get the KISS pad.

I'm really enjoying a couple of the kits I have. They're Pactimo and Jakroo. Both high quality, comfortable.. they stay in place.. great padding on the bibs. My Castelli kit is a close 2nd place though.

Hands down, the best I've ever had is by MAAP. Extremely high quality, superb comfort and fits me perfectly.

Good to hear. Their ads pop up on my social media feed all the time, and although I hate to be a sucker for advertising of that type, I do always look at it and think, "Maybe..."

Your loss. We don't wear lycra because it's a costume, we wear it because it's more comfortable and utilitarian for its intended purpose.

I personally think Rapha is the best I have ridden, although it is too expensive for me a lot of the time. I have had zero problems with Twin Six, and I finally got a set of the "Standard" jersey and bibs, and they are awesome. I plan to pick up a couple more sets of bibs, and maybe a couple standard jerseys.

Shhhhhhh. Don't give away the secret so fast. I want to wait for his thread titled "why do I keep getting sores on my a**".

+1

And because--let's face it--some of us look so damned good in it. :thumb:

To be fair, I left my bibs on while doing housework the other day for a couple hours after a ride. Next day I had a fun new saddle sore as a result.

Kids, always wash your nether regions as soon after a ride as possible.

I should have started a thread with a poll on whether to lance the sore or let it fester.

I still like the Performance 2016 Elite bib shorts. $60 and they fit and feel fine. No need to spend over a Franklin to get a decent bib...

How have I made it this far without a carbon-fiber infused jersey?!

I've asked myself this question daily since I received it for Christmas. Cycling will never be the same.
