Shimano-style connector for Schmidt hubs
1 Attachment(s)
a recent thread gave me this idea. I need to change the bottom of the connector to match the radius of the axle, so it's not done yet. Then I need to find a 3d printer. I feel like the outer sleeve will stay on due to the roughness of a typical 3d print surface.

It would be easy enough to pin the inner/outer sleeve together once it has been assembled. A hand chuck would make short work of it when both parts are together, then a pin could be pushed through with a pair of pliers.
Nothing wrong with belt-and-suspenders when you're dealing with lights. |
I got sidetracked on this. The main problem with it is that it is too long. Also, Schmidt started selling a really cool solution that plugs onto the hub and goes to a barrel connector from there. But I do want to finish this.
