My fixed gear can beat up your road bike

Just felt like saying that.

TimothyH 05-02-19 11:32 AM

And it looks good doing it too.

Also just felt like saying that.

Your fixed gear can't catch my road bike.

kevincgove 05-02-19 11:53 AM

A fixie throw down.....I'm in. My roadie will chew your fixie up and spit it out.

TimothyH 05-02-19 11:55 AM

Y'all come down. We'll have ourselves a good time.

If your bike is geared, you won't need to.

 Good one.

You also won't need 172 if you soft pedal up 1% grades in your 36/28 like I see all the geared riders doing.

Get some (non sprint) KOMs on your fixed gear and I'll be impressed.

Now, her I can beat.

woodcraft 05-02-19 01:03 PM

It's pretty much impossible to find a ride even half as flat as that in my area.

So can mine (as long as a gorilla rides it).

My 12-15 mile daily commute has about that much elevation gain one way

Haha, 1,000' of climbing over that distance is basically overpasses and atmospheric variation

Yeah, no that's not happening in Norcal unless I head out to the central valley, or do laps around a FLAT CIRCUIT. I think these roadies would ride circles around a 48x16 fixie :o

Pirkaus 05-02-19 04:41 PM

**** :troll:

I saw a pic of the Rodriguez on another thread, great looking bike! :thumb: Is the sizing custom or do they do stock sizes?

Thanks for the kind words.

The Rodriquez "Shiftless" comes in 20 stock sizes or you can do a custom.

Mine is custom - S3 tubes, Enve, Vittoria, Dura Ace... 15.9 lb ready to ride and built specifically for the open road.

Floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee.

you aren’t gonna catch me even if I’m riding neutered(fixed gear).

TimothyH 05-02-19 09:53 PM

Talk.

Norcal roadies riding in circles... Atmospheric variation... Aren't gonna catch me...

So far @redlude97 is the only one who posted an average speed, distance or elevation.

If someone's road bike can beat up my fixed gear then testify.

Post a screen cap or go to the back and have a gel or something.
