More estate stuff
The box of parts I was supposed to get last week was delivered today. There's a lot to throw away and some surprising things. I've only glanced through it

Sturmey Archer hub and shifter
https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...a3b2b46f2b.jpg Maface hoods that need a good cleaning https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...e9ee5014bd.jpg One of two Hercules Synchro shifters https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...0ff598ac39.jpg Too bad there was only one box of this cotton bar tape https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...e90ab398e4.jpg NOS T.A. Criterium cleats with nails https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...754a1c8aba.jpg |
And what seems to be a rare Schwinn Paramount adjustable track stem. It needs a good cleaning too

Cool parts. What model hub is that. The indicator wing nut is on the wrong side and should be reversed. If it's an ASC hub you'll need other changes too.
The Hercules shifters date to about 1950, they were offered on the Herailleur indexed system in '49. |

Fixed gear 3 speed with a proprietary shifter and an indicator rod and nuts on both sides.

Interesting; both of my 543's have plastic pulleys, yours has metal. Possibly a change they made during production?

Couldn't tell you for sure but based on the instructions in the box I'd say the metal smooth ones were from the factory and the plastic may have been changed by a subsequent owner. The instructions are all in French and my high school French class from 40 yrs ago only vaguely helps now.
By the way, with help, my wife translated the instructions, then I found them in English on one of the common old-bike websites. C'est la vie! |

Wait, is that really an ACS? |
Try oxiclean bath on those brake hoods.

Just says Sturmey Archer and AW. Also has 53 stamped on it |
Duban Supremo freewheel- one of the notches is a little buggered up. Not sure the threading
https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...a8258bc3c2.jpg Not sure what these are but they are sort of cool. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...6708d9da12.jpg |

Not sure how to tell - I don't see ACS stamped on it
