It's been on CL for months. I have posted the link here few times because it's so hilarious. If it's stolen, the owners and police haven't been looking too hard because it's been posted right there every day for months.

Wow a 50K specialized, those new ultra light weight pure gold crank sets are rare.

I heard him talking about it on some interview and I thought he said $15K but the interviewer repeated back $50K and Diaz agreed. $15K is possible for a top of the line Specialized TT bike with 808's and tax.

You can only brake form the bottom of the drops where 90% of the riders never have their hands and you can only shift from the tops. Could a bike be more ergonomically incorrect?

Usually not. Although they both have aero bars, TT bikes are limited by draconic UCI rules on the geometry that Tri bikes are not limited by.

I wasn't aware of that. I've never had a reason to study on them much. I see the aero frames and short wheelbase and they all go into the same category in my mind. Do manufactures actually make TT specific as well as Tri specific bikes?

[SIZE=3]Some do. That's why there is (or was) the Specialized Shiv Tri (with the nosecone) and the regular Shiv (without), because the UCI won't allow the nosecone.

However, what I was meaning was the first line of the article you linked to (Nick Diaz looking for thieves who stole his expensive road bike | FOX Sports) is "Nick Diaz is on the look-out for a thief he says stole a rather expensive road bike that he purchased. " It's followed by a pic he took of the bike, which is clearly an tri/TT bike, not a road bike.
