Where did you get those fenders from?

Were they custom made?

What's that V shaped thing on the handlebar of that ti bike?

The V on the stem is formed by the bands holding down a Garmin mount. The thing on the bars is a mount for a light.

Stock Planet Bike. The USSailing decal covers a prominent logo.

I have them on my gravel bike; ditto on all counts.

I don't have a current pic, but this was the most recent, in grocery-getter trim (rack/bags have since been adjusted to sit a little lower) -

And my fun bike -

Nice bikes. Fit to function is a lot hotter than decals. An inch of fork tube to grow on?

Don't have a saw appropriate for the aluminum steerer. :innocent:

Nice. Is that a Shimano/PRO saddle? How do you like it?

Thanks! It ‘tis. I absolutely love it. I had a Spec. Power prior and I liked it initially but I would randomly get numbness every once in a while no matter what I did so I gave this a try and it’s been perfect.

I have a Pro Griffon and a Pro Turnix. I have much more time on the Turnix and am very happy with it, light, sold build and quite comfortable. I was not too fond of this saddle at first. I switched it out with a different saddle but decided to give it another try. The second try it was on a diff

TimothyH 02-27-19 03:31 PM

People are posting bamboo fenders and panniers so I no longer have reservations about posting this.

Sorry I mistakenly hit send. I really like the saddle now and have done up to 60+ mile rides. I had bought it on sale for less than $60 and recently saw the same price on the Griffon at the same site, bikewagon.com. I bought it and like it, but I do not have enough time on it to compare. They are both with ti rails. ALSO, I have the narrow version of both, I believe 135mm.

Cool, thanks. My current Toupe is great outside but not great on the trainer. I found a carbon-railed Pro Stealth at TPC for $80, so I just placed the order.

Good looking bike. What's wrong with it, the scroto-bag, the giant computer, and the blinkie?

cycledogg 02-28-19 08:47 AM

Nice, but I think the bar wrap could have been done better. Looks "bulkie" at the ends on the top bars. :foo:

I'm liking it.. Triple..! Is that an "endurance" bike?

I appreciate the criticism. That bar tape looks cool but it is a total pain to wrap. It’s super bulky and has zero stretch to it. I think it’s also exacerbated by the shape of the bars right there.

How did I miss this? Hot.

Got the wheels last week to complete the build. Still tweaking cockpit layout a bit so I haven't finalized the steerer tube height. Love it so far.

Pizzaiolo Americano 03-03-19 06:02 AM

Bone stock other than the Fulcrum 3 wheels. In this pic, I haven't even set seat height or stem height yet. I'll ride it a few thousand K first and then maybe get the steerer cut...Better pics inbound later...

When I saw the comment about the sun, I knew I'd look at the location and see someone from the southeast. This has been the grayest, dreariest winter I can ever recall.

Paul Barnard 03-03-19 07:37 AM

It is rare for me to think a factory bike is hot. Rarer yet that I think a black bike is hot. This one is nicely executed though. The gloss black is very nice and the star bar tape a very nice touch. It almost pains me to say it, but your black Trek is hot.
