Quattro Hubs??
 

Hi, wondering if anyone has any info on these hubs? I'm super interested in picking up this wheelset for a vintage restoration, but can't find anything about these "Quattro" hubs.

Pretty sure those are Ofmega. Bianchi frequently used their components.

hour glass hubs a trend which began in the mid-to-late seventies

since they are three-piece shells one would think "second tier"

wonder if MICHE or RINO might be possible producers as well

we are not shown or told marking on QR skewer lever

Quattro is believed to be a Suntour line according to VeloBase. Pretty cool find. Nothing wrong with FIR EL19 rims either. I’ve had a single searching for a mate for some time.

I agree with gkamieneski , I'm pretty sure they are Ofmega. Did the wheels come off a '89 Bianchi Campione de Italia? Nice duarable sheels but nothing too valuable. It's possible as plonz says they could be Suntour but as the Quattro crank was Ofmega as well as the Ofmega HS used on that bike I'm inclined to think Ofmega

Suntour badged hubs manufactured by Sansin Matsumoto/Sunshine

have never seen a three-piece alloy hub from them, which certainly does not mean they never made any

skewers in subject hubs do not resemble any Sansin skewers have ever seen; of course they could be non-original

Not sure who actually made there stuff but from the several pairs I have worked on they seem to be a good mid level loose bearing hubs so if the cones are good you should be fine. All you likely need to do is just put fresh grease and new bearings in them and they should be fine for a couple thousand miles.

Thanks for all the replies and pointing me in the right direction! Looks like from the Bianchi catalogue they were only made for that one year 1989 Bianchi Campione D'Italia. I've been looking for a replacement wheelset for a 78' Trek that came with some out of place newer wheels. These would make more sense if they were actually made by Suntour / Sansin, although not really period correct. Going to check them out today!

one thing have been wondering about is if Quattro could be the name of a road ensemble rather than a brand

in the T-Mar post mentioned above he writes that the Bianchi bicycle under discussion has a Quattro front derailleur
