Probably was a good idea to return the bike, since it's a genetic hybrid bike. If you're riding on gravel, perhaps you should pick up a dedicated gravel bike.

If you can't pull out the bent tube with your free hand, then brakes are too tight. Check if the brake adjuster on handlebars can be screwed in to allow for additional slack.

I had a weird loud screech, like gutting a pig, after hitting a bump or pothole. I think it had something to do with front brakes, since it was heard during coasting.

Maybe get ergonomic bar ends to mix it up? I use Ergon GP5 on my hybrid, which adds two more positions. Much cheaper than getting a whole new bike.

I doubt riding women's bikes make it unsafe for men, but I'd definitely replace those brakes asap and tightened all the "wobbly" parts. Nothing should wobble on a bike, but rather move smoothly....

Probably just need a thorough tune up and new tires. Bikes are expensive now and come with inferior components for that high price, in fact I'm planning to upgrade my bike to SRAM Rival of that era 😂
