To get it serviceable, I've tapped out dented fenders on some folded up shop towels using a rounded off dowel as a center punch. It will never look good, but it sounds like it's under the fork anyway.

The right one does look like it's ready to go, but who am I to say. Proofide is the treatment/waterproof that Brooks sells for their saddles. I've been on a budget and I've been using mink oil.
