I use the bike + train combo. The folding bike makes it easy to catch whatever train I want regardless of how crowded it is. I just have to suffer mean looks and the knowing that I'm "that guy".

I hate it when a wheel gets wacked out of shape. If you've trued it to the best of your ability and you still find it annoying or don't trust it, your LBS should be able to fix it up for +/-$15.

My girlfriend and I have 2 Montague Folding bikes. We frequent Nantucket via ferry. Normally there is a charge for the bikes, but when they are in the carry bags you don't get hassled!
