You can Google "thru axle adapters" and come up with a large selection from various makers. I have a few from Thule that I used on a previous fork mounted roof rack.

Looking at a segment that's roughly .4 miles long, on a course I often do intervals on, I can hold 600ish for about a minute. Never tried it on fresh legs or even just a 60 second full out effort....

In my area CX season ends on NYE, then many of us go to Nats the next week.

Road season for us starts at the end of Feb. A little time off from racing does us well.
