I can vouch for the Alfine Di2. Awesome stuff, incredibly fun to ride and it's a great combination with the Carbon Drive belt. Hydro brakes would be the piece de resistance.

It's closed due to the I-5 improvement project that spans the trail. I believe the completion date for that project is sometime in 2014 so I don't anticipate the trail being reopened before then.
