I'm glad Chombi jumped in, as I'd have no idea about those ferrules. I bought the bike as a frame hanging on the wall and the LBS assembled it to my spec. They have been there since new though.

I acquired this Colnago a few days ago. It belonged to a good friend who passed away a couple of years ago. I talked him into buying it (used) back in 88 so we could ride road bikes together as well...

I'm pretty sure I bought my Montello in '88... it has that same pump peg, but campy dropouts. The frame could have been in the shop earlier than '88 I guess.
Did they have bosses for the DT bottle...
