I’ve decided to leave the forks alone. They seem to be working fine. I just wanted to disassemble in order to do a nice paint job, I’ll just have to a real good job of taping, which I can do.

I found a couple images online and at beat it looks like a black grommet in there.

The did have fittings for either rear disc or rear v types. No disc fitting for the front. Odd, that's where I would want a disc.

Around here it is illegal to ride on the sidewalk, unless the rider deems it prudent to do so. So I might be riding on a busy street, when it might get dense while lanes merge, etc....

I carry a foot or so of Velcro tape. Besides its other uses, I can wrap around my rear wheel and seat stay. Bike ain't going nowhere and hopefully no one is sticking around to cipher it out.
