The frame is of a good build indeed and feels quite light as well. I would exclude any Belgian heritage.

The stamp on the BB is indeed a Shimano 35x1.
I am inclined to think that the bike is a made to order because the components were of mid good range...

there is a reseller sticker on the front tube between the headset. The bike was purchased some 40 years ago in a small shop in a town near Lille (France). The shop is still active Family own business...
