I too have the cycleops made by sportscrafters with the resistance unit. Very smooth well-built rollers. So much better than a trainer, it's unbelievable. Good workout too.

The frame shown by op is a steel SL lemond...nice bike but not the one rode by greg with team Z in the tour. He rode a TVT carbon in the mountains, and likely a "higher" grade of steel or custom...

It's pretty, but not really an "intense" climb to Paradise. Maybe like 4% grade or something. Cayuse Pass is a harder climb, but still not all that bad. That's the other long climb during RAMROD.
