I'm going on a longish weekend ride of about 150 miles, probably with this hub, and I wondered if I would feel like it was slowing me down toward the end of the day. That's the source of my concern.

Is there a cheaper alternative to buying a $20 SS conversion kit? Wouldn't some PVC pipe spacers work just as well if in the same diameter? Has anyone tried it?
