I have ridden many miles on Gatorskins, I know they are not a favorite of many here but I have done just fine with them or step up to GP 4 seasons. BTD has them for $36 and $44 folding versions right...

Turtle wax chrome cleaner/rust remover, slather it on , let sit, slather again, scrub with brass bristle brush, it will take most of the rust off if you stick with it. Results can be excellent. ;)

I have them on the Merz and my KZ 1000 dragbike right now.

They work great and I love the aesthetic....
