Clear coat over powder coat a must

A buddy of mine that built bikes for Fat Chance and Yeti says that water gets under powder coating leading to frame rust/corrosion, a clear coat of high quality paint will seal it.

Try some other bikes at other shops, Stay away from disc brakes on road bikes for at least a year or two, all but one type ( I can't remember) make a lot of noise or have adjustment issues.
