Update, the LBS is offering a replacement frame. Unkown yet what specific frame they deem as comparable to a 7 yr old Madone. They are Specialized, C’dale and Giant dealers but not Trek.

That looks to be an archetype rim..I have them and recognize the pic from their site; they have an internal width of 17.5mm and are not designed for tubeless. 16mm or 17mm velox tape works.

I haven't found them to be a hassle, honestly. Yeah set up was a bit more complicated, but not that hard. No flats for 2 and half years eliminated a lot of hassle with clinchers.
